Reflecting over the past year I am so glad that I got to have so many great experiences, meet so many great people and continue to have positive in my life despite living with chronic pain.
I love my regular team of doctors. I dont love the orthopedic surgeon I chose to help me with my frozen shoulder condition though. That experience left a bad mark on me when it comes to if I will ever get a procedure again from a provider I dont know.
My left arm is still in pain, weak, and has a loss of range of motion, but the doctors say it will get better in the next few years, so I am looking forward to that.
I hosted 8 webinars, had multiple television opportunities, was a social media corespondent for Global Genes, CHC, and IASP. I was able to attend Reality Rally to raise awareness and fun for funds for Michelle’s Place, Reality All Star Reunion Charity event.
Ken to work for International Pain Foundation full time, and we brought back Comic Pain Relief this year after taking 5 years off.
I get to see my brother and his family in FL for the first time this year.
I loved all the great talks I had with my best friend Jodi.
I loved meeting so many new advocates through HealtheVoices and other conferences.
I loved writing monthly articles for Pain News Network and other media outlets and I loved helping produce iPain Living Magazine which is taking a next big step into news stands in 2019!
With all the health and pain challenges this year, I am grateful that I was still able to live some life and have some life experiences. I wish each of you all the hope and best wishes for the greatest 2019!
Hope is True, Barby
