#WorldCancerDay #WeCanICan – A global event taking place every year on 4 February, World Cancer Day unites the world’s population in the fight against cancer. It aims to save millions of preventable deaths each year by raising awareness and education about the disease, pressing governments and individuals across the world to take action.
Observed on February 17th, National Random Acts of Kindness Day has grown in popularity each year. It is celebrated by individuals, groups and organizations nationwide to encourage acts of kindness. But lets take the whole week to share our kindness and the message, to help make the world a better place. #RandomActsOfKindness
National Eating Disorders Awareness – Join the conversation about food, body image, and exercise issues on social media with #NEDAwareness. Let’s bust myths, share our unique stories, and point people to support and resources. We have shareable graphics and sample messages to make it easy for you! Eating disorders are very serious and complex psychological diseases that cause grave social, emotional and physical harm when left untreated. It’s important that men, women, and teens living with eating disorders seek early diagnosis and treatment to avoid severe health complications later on.
Being part of a multicultural family – Black History Month is important to me; Black History Month, also known as African-American History Month in America, is an annual observance in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and in the Netherlands where it is known as Black Achievement Month. #BHM
International Boost Self-Esteem Month is a great one for me too… I love posting motivational quotes and sharing my positive attitude to help others do the same. Having a good self image and worth is so important… Here are a few signs of Good Self-Esteem –
- – Be ok with making mistakes
- – Don’t use self-deprecating language
- – Have good posture, and hold your head high
- – Don’t take criticism personally
- – Take chances
- – Allow yourself to shine
- – Don’t put up with abuse or maltreatment from others
Here is wishing you the best month possible! With so much to share, celebrate, raise awareness of, I send you all blessings, love light, and peace! Hope is True, Barby
